Implementing safety measures for children and senior citizens
- MOPAS endeavors to create a safer pedestrian environment with child-friendly policies including pedestrian service, school zones, and other road safety facilities.
- To protect senior citizens, we take various safety measures such as installing emergency alarm bells, assigning special fire fighters, and providing emergency medical care.
Improving computer usage of the underprivileged citizens
- The Ministry works hard to facilitate computer access for the underprivileged population including senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
- For the realization of an exemplary information society, MOPAS conducts various education programs and campaigns on cyber ethics and information culture.
Assisting migrant women to have a reunion with their family members
- The Ministry also organizes annual family reunion events, inviting the parents and families of married migrant women to Korea, thus providing emotional support to multicultural families.
- IT infrastructure such as Information Network Villages (INVILs) and Information Access Centers (IACs) enable migrant women to meet and talk to their family through video reunions.
- MOPAS allows married migrant women to list their names in the government's resident register before obtaining Korean citizenship.
- Moreover, five most frequently requested forms and documents are available in five foreign languages.
