Job creation for local residents and youths

MOPAS takes an initiative in creating more jobs, giving hope to local residents and young job seekers

The Project Hope, a public work program, providing more jobs to low income households
  • The Project Hope was launched in 2009 as a temporary work program to create local jobs to help stabilize the livelihood of residents, thus contributing to greater employment opportunities and boosting local economy.
  • To stimulate spending in the local community at such places as traditional markets, MOPAS has introduced a voucher program involving 30% of employee's total wage.
Boosting regional economy through Project Hope
  • Through the Project Hope, local governments utilize unemployed rural workers to assist in farming and other industrial activities.
    *Project Hope jobs: 250,000 ('09), 100,000 ('10 - projected)
  • In addition, conservation projects are actively carried out to protect natural environment and community development.
