- We foster bicycle riding culture with the upgrading of cycling environment such as safe bicycle riding campaigns, as well as
provision of one-stop shops for bicycle repairs and maintenance.
- The Ministry plans to reform cycling regulations in the areas of national bicycle registration system and standardization of bicycle facilities.
Building bicycle infrastructure
- MOPAS supports building bicycle lanes and bicycle parking facilities in new development areas and tourist complexes.
- By 2012, we aim to increase bicycle usage to 5%, expand bike paths to 17,600km, and boost bicycle ownership rate to 30%.
